This is armor for the ambitious
Designed by New England women who actually spend their days outside all year round. We’ve married function and fashion by offering 4-way stretch material, waterproof knees and seat, perfectly placed pockets, a drop seat because we are hydrated, and incredibly inclusive sizing that is designed for layering. These are the real deal.
The knees and seat? Absolutely. Heavy-duty waterproof laminate means you can kneel, sit, and crouch on wet ground without getting soggy. The main body fabric has a PFC-free C-6 water-resistant coating that sheds light rain and yes, these are quick dry to get you back outside in no time. Your confidence layer for unpredictable conditions.
88% nylon/12% spandex. About 100 gsm. Stretch and durability have joined forces.
Technical quick dry fabric is ready for serious outdoor work, stretchy enough for scrambling over logs, and somersaulting over unexpected hurdles.
Say goodbye to the sock-tuck look forever. Our hidden interior ankle gaiter keeps out ticks, chiggers, and other unwanted hitchhikers from crawling up your legs. You don’t have to sacrifice style for safety anymore.
Permethrin treated fabric? We are working on it! Once we prove these overalls are as beloved as we know they’ll be, we’ll introduce that option next. Target launch: Spring 2027.
These are three-season overalls designed for fall, winter, and spring. They're most comfortable in temps ranging from the 20s to low 60s Fahrenheit. Beyond 70°F, you'll be wishing for shorts. Save these for cooler adventures!

  What if I’m between sizes?
The sizing runs large to accommodate a range of under layers. If you like a tighter fit, go down in size. The numbered sizes in the chart below roughly correlate with your pant sizes. So if you wear size 8 pants, you’d be a Lupine medium.
Small : 0-6
Medium: 8-10
Large: 12-16
X-Large: 18-22
Special Features
Whats up with the knee pads?
Straight talk: they'll feel stiff and awkward when you first get them. After just a few days of wear, they'll break in and conform to your body. Soon you'll forget they're there... until you're kneeling on wet ground, silently thanking us. Not your thing? They're removable. Just take them out before washing!
How to remove the knee pads
Insert your hand through the opening at the bottom of the knee panel and roll the knee pad into a tube shape and slide out.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns & exchanges within 30 days of purchase. The overalls must be in new condition and purchased directly from Lupine. New condition means all of the following: the tags are still affixed, it is not worn outside, and has no stains or pet hair.
Contact Ellen@LupineOuterwear.com to initiate a return.
Warranty
We stand behind our overalls with a 2-year warranty on manufacturing defects—stitching issues, material flaws, or zipper failures. We'll repair or replace them.
Here's the thing: we're still learning how these perform in the real world, and your feedback is gold to us. If something rips, fails, or frustrates you (even if it's normal wear and tear), please tell us! Email Ellen@LupineOuterwear.com with photos and details about what happened. We want to know how you're using them, where they're holding up, and where they're not. Your real-world experience helps us make the next version even better.
Not covered under warranty: Damage due to normal use wear and tear, abrasion, fabric rips, stains, misuse or neglect- but we still want to hear about it!
Ethics
Where are Lupine overalls made?
Designed and tested in Vermont and Arizona, sewn at a woman-owned factory in China. We partner with a facility that meets our high standards for quality and ethical manufacturing—and yes, it really is woman-owned!
Care Instructions
How do I care for my overalls?
Treat them like your favorite jacket—wash annually or as needed, not after every wear.
For spot cleaning: Use cool water and a towel or sponge to saturate the stain (a tablespoon or more of water), then ‘lift’ the stain with a dry towel. Don't rub it in deeper!
For machine washing:
Remove knee pads first. Insert your hand into the bottom of the knee panel opening, roll the knee pad into a burrito shape and slide them out.
Machine wash cold with like colors on delicate cycle, tumble dry low or line dry. Do not bleach. Do Not Iron.
Keep them performing: Over time, revitalize the DWR water-resistant coating and breathable membranes with Nikwax Tech Wash®.
