Collection: From the field to the office

From the field and then back into the office before noon, we have you covered and looking good while you're at it.

Much of the year, the ground is often wet until after 10am, brambles are real, ripping and snagging your clothes, and tick born illness is something that many of us have dealt with or are dealing with.

Lupine Outerwear has got you covered.

Slip these luxurious and rugged overalls on top of your office clothes for a seamless transition from the field or construction site to your desk. One outfit a day is plenty when you have the right over-clothes that keep you protected from the elements and safer from ticks. From dragging brush on your property, running a chainsaw or stacking wood at the homestead, to taking water or soil samples for work, these overalls are what you want.

Lupine Outerwear is designed for women, by women who work hard and play hard outside.

We have you covered, and looking good too.

LuPine Outerwear was started by Ellen Kraft McCune in a small Vermont town during Covid. An educator and owner of a private school for over 20 years, Ellen was faced with either closing her school or taking learning 100% outside. So out she went, and the realities of working outdoors every day in Vermont posed some very real challenges. The most pertinent, was how to stay dry when kneeling or sitting. The second issue, which quickly became a matter of real concern to her and surrounding community was the newly unavoidable presence of ticks.

Ellen searched far and wide for comfortable (stretchy and breathable) clothing that allowed for free movement and kept her dry and protected from her surroundings, but nothing fit the bill. Crashing through the brambles and brush, climbing over (and under) trees, and rolling down hills and sitting on the forest floor in all seasons required outerwear that she just couldn’t find.

While walking down the dirt road with Jason, her partner in all things, they were no longer interested in walking through the fields as they had done for so many years prior. Saddened by feeling exiled from their own fields, the sight of her neighbors lupine flowers brought her to tears. In that moment, Ellen committed to finding a solution.
